Netscape User Profile Setup

Netscape provides User Profiles. These Profiles allow for individualized Netscape settings to be saved for each user such as bookmarks, histories, cookies, home pages, etc. They also allow each profile to maintain it's own Email account. When more than one user profile is established, Netscape will ask which profile to use when it is run.

Below are instructions for the setup of Netscape version 4.73 for additional User Profiles.

Notes What to do
To create a new User Profile in Netscape 4.73 Click on:
Start - Programs - Netscape - Utilities - User Profile Manager
A window will appear Click on New
Creating a New Profile window appears Click Next
  Enter Full Name for the person, first and last if desired
Enter the email name/alias followed with @fsnnet.net
Click Next
You will have the option to rename the Profile name. It assumes the Full Name as previously entered Change Profile name if desired
Click Next
Outgoing mail server
This is the address provided to you in the cover letter
Enter 192.168.1.2
Click Next
Mail server parameters
Again, this has been provided in the cover letter
Enter your email name/alias
Incoming mail server - Enter 192.168.1.2
Be sure POP3 is checked, not IMAP
Click Next
You are now done with email. Click Finish
